Regency Wines Ltd, a Wine Merchant located in Exeter, Devon, imports wholesale and distribute wines from all around the world to the licensed trade and general public in Devon and West Somerset.

We are a completely independent family owned company offering a friendly but very efficient and professional service to both trade and retail customers. We endeavour to introduce our customers to the sometimes confusing wine world in a simple, non-patronizing way.

Established in 2001, Regency Wines was created to offer the Licensed Trade access to a new range of wines from all around the world so they could differentiate themselves from their competitors.

Early success was boosted with the inheritance of trade customers from the popular Topsham Merchants Estuary Wines and then 18 months later with the acquisition of Latchley Wines, another popular South West Wine Merchant trading in the South Hams and Tavistock area covering West Devon.

As a local Devon company we took a great interest in local wines from the South West area including Sharpham, Yearlstone, Down St Mary and Camel Valley, always encouraging our customers to have at least one English Wine on their Wine List. We then broadened this to include wines from other areas of England such as Wickham, Hampshire and Chapel Down, Kent. We were delighted when in 2004 the International Wine Challenge acknowledged our efforts in the promotion of English Wines by awarding us the Specialist Wine Merchant of the Year award.

In 2005 we moved into our brand new premises at 22 Apple Lane, Trade City, Sowton Industrial Estate, Exeter, Devon. Here we have our purpose built showroom/shop and tasting area where wines are available from one bottle to several pallets! If you are interested in wine and have never experienced wine outside of your local supermarket then a trip to us is a must. We here from 8 in the morning throughout the week from Monday to Friday until 5pm.

This year has seen us take on distribution responsibilities for Down St Mary Vineyard and the popular Bergerac Chateau, Chateau Monplaisir, owned by David Baxter and wine author Helen Gillespie Peck.
